The Oyster Perpetual Explorer II evolved from Rolex’s involvement in exploration, through equipping polar, mountaineering and caving expeditions over many years. The origins of the Explorer can be traced back to the 1950s, and to this day they remain crafted for endurance, perpetuating Rolex’s links with exploration at every frontier.
This 1992 edition of the Explorer measures 36mm, with a black dial featuring 3-6-9 numerals and a smooth, fixed bezel. Beneath this iconic aesthetic lies the Calibre 3000 movement offering a power reserve of approximately 48 hours, all protected by sapphire crystal.
